&lt;p&gt;If you ever wondered why during polymodeling inÂ zbrush you keep selecting several polygroups byÂ CTRL+Shift clicking on only one:&lt;br /&gt;
Zbrush forÂ most ofÂ brushes andÂ selections uses vertices. AndÂ if your polygon doesnâ€™t have any other polygon inÂ same polygroup next toÂ vertex that you clickedÂ â€“ it just selects also next polygoup.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;So inÂ this case you can use Select Lasso tool andÂ click on one edge toÂ hide full polygon loop. AndÂ then invert theÂ visibility byÂ CTRL+Shift dragging outside ofÂ mesh:&lt;/p&gt;
